Ever hear of the “oxygen-mask theory”? It basically states that if you’re in an airplane and oxygen masks fall out of the overhead compartment… you should put YOUR mask on first, before helping others.
I think you know where I’m going with this. The point of this simple metaphor is that the better you take care of yourself, the more able (and perhaps willing) you will be to take care of others.
